On June 7th, you catered a wedding reception for over 100 people at our home, under pretty trying conditions. I can't tell you how pleased we were, and are, with your performance. I know that the rain made it difficult for you and your staff, and we were all delighted with their professionalism and good spirits. They were efficient, thoughtful, and cheerful. We know how hard you and Philip worked to keep it that way because we saw you at it. Thanks in large part to you, everything went off perfectly.
I want to add a word about the food. It was everything you promised and more. Many of our guests went out of their way to tell us so in detail. From the raw bar and passed appetizers to the lobster, tenderloin and chicken the food was uniformly delicious and splendidly served
Thanks again for helping to make the day memorable in the face of a very uncooperative sky.

I had the great opportunity to work with Peter Ambrose and Food For Forks Catering for my wedding which was held on a private estate in Sagaponack, on July 6th 2003. In addition, Pete just catered our second anniversary celebration. His sense of professionalism is unmatched and to say the least, his food is delicious !

I want to THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU a million more times for such a wonderful job!!!!!! The room looked absolutely amazing. When we walked into it for the cocktail hour I could not believe how classy and sparkly it looked. Between the linens, plates, silverware, flowers, and view of Montauk, it was picture perfect. I could not have dreamed it more beautiful!!!! Then, when I thought I could not have been happier (because the day had been so amazing so far) I began to eat along with my guests. Well, the food was delicious. All my guests were so amazed with the cocktail hour, how yummy the food was, and were so impressed with your staff. They ate so much and almost did not have enough room for dinner. After eating all the appetizers I did not think that dinner could be better…but it was.
Chris and I love Bar-B-Q (it has got to be our favorite type of cooking) and we were so happy with how everything tasted. All the meat (chicken, steak, ribs, and pulled pork) just melted in your mouth, nothing was dried or overcooked. The Mashed Potato's, macaroni salad, rice pilaf, grilled veggies and the corn on the cob was also magically delicious and the corn bread ( my favorite part of the meal) topped it all off perfectly!!!! Unfortunately, I did not get to taste the apple and berry cobblers because I was to wrapped up dancing., but I have heard nothing but how mouth watering it was.
Your staff was even more amazing. The bartenders new how to throw a great party and the wait staff was fabulous. Not only did they do a great job serving the food and keeping the Downs looking gorgeous, but they also were attentive to what drinks people were drinking. My guests could not believe that they did not even have to go over to the bar for a drink. Please thank everyone for us!!!1
If you ever need a reference for people who are looking to book you either at the Downs or privately, you can give them my email address and I will be more then happy to give you 10 thumbs up. But, I am sure you already have a great reputation.

Dear Pete
Thank you for providing the most outstanding wedding feast we could have imagined. Knowing what kind of food you make ensured that James and I would no be one of those couples that doesn't get to eat at their own wedding, and now some of our best memories are of the food. We still talk about enjoying the last of the ceviche after everyone had been called into the reception tent and savoring the melt in your mouth sea bass. We actually packed up containers of leftovers to take on our honeymoon. We couldn't bear to leave any of the perfectly prepared filets or those fabulous sesame snap peas and cranberry cous cous.
Your operation is unmatched in quality and professionalism as we have experienced time and time again. James and I literally felt like king and queen for a day. Philip was extraordinary and seemed to know exactly what we wanted or needed every minute. Your staff handled our 220 guests with ease and the party flowed seamlessly the entire night. Needless to say, our friends are still talking about the incredible food and dangerously delicious punches. As we like to say in our family, Pete is the best. Thanks again for such a spectacular evening.

Although Peter Ambrose and Food For Forks Catering, came highly recommended, he surpassed our expectations in all areas. His skill as a chef is matched by his skill in working with people. Peter was a joy to work with: he listened to what we wanted, was flexible, made excellent suggestions and delivered top quality meals throughout a three day wedding weekend from an ocean beach front argentinian barbecue, to a cocktail party with fabulous hors d'oeuvres and a delicious plated wedding dinner that was seamlessly served, to a lovely Sunday Morning brunch.
Peter and his Captain Philip LaVigna are an extraordinary team. They made sure to provide everything necessary to make a unforgettable event. They came through with flying colors at every point. Peter can confidently take his place with the best caterers in the Hamptons.

Dear Peter
The wedding reception and other activities you catered for my son's and new daughter in law's wedding in Southampton was outstanding. We had three very different events- a casual Friday night Lobster Bake on the beach, and elegant seated dinner at my home for the reception Saturday for 180 people, and then a big breakfast for 100 people on Sunday morning. All of your workers were very professional and attuned to the guests needs. Our guests couldn't believe one caterer had done all three events. Thank you from all of us for so expertly handling all three events. Oh yes - and the food was DELICIOUS!!!!
